Since 2007, the festival “Jamel rockt den Förster” has stood as resistance against this appropriation, aiming to show the Nazis that they are facing a “democratic headwind.” Since then, people have gathered every year to resolutely oppose right-wing structures and to strengthen a vibrant, democratic culture and a collective process of forming opinions and will on site.
